This Is Take One is a feature comedy set in the world of recorded music about a coordinator at an exclusive, legendary studio who finds a way to record there at night, building a myth about a “Midnight Engineer.” It is influenced by Aaron’s experience working and growing up in that world surrounded by the industry’s best composers, producers, players, and engineers.

This grounded sci-fi thriller is based on a real UFO conspiracy theory, and was adapted as a proof-of-concept short starring Carolina Ravassa and Bex Taylor-Klaus and was screened at the Pasadena International Film Festival in 2019. The short signed a worldwide distribution deal with First Focus International, and the feature is still available. He is also developing a version of the story as an audio drama.

SNAKE OIL

This adult animated comedy series is set in the Old West, and is being co-developed with longtime writing partner Ryan Shaktah. It follows a con artist who accidentally becomes a town hero, and must team up with the town’s innkeeper to keep up his ruse to stay alive.

THE VEIL

At the turn of the century, theatrical magic and spiritualism are at its height, and a scientific understanding of mental health is at its cusp. This horror-mystery series follows an early psychiatrist with a penchant for magic and a young, talented medium after they share a supernatural experience and come together to help others with hauntings, possessions, and a series of murders that rack the world of science and the spiritual. It was inspired by Harry Houdini’s goal later in life to debunk psychics.

Aaron’s first feature is a period war story with supernatural elements. It was optioned in 2017 and placed in several screenwriting competitions. It’s loosely based on the legend of the “Angel of Mons” following the discovery of a mysterious child with strange abilities in No Man’s Land, and the soldiers on opposite sides who band together to bring him home.

SINGER/SONGWRITER

This original musical series is about a burgeoning musician who meets her doppelgänger from another universe. A goal with the series is to partner with a songwriter to collaborate on an original soundtrack and score.

THE LUCID PODCAST

He co-created and writes the score for the narrative podcast with Austin S. Harris and Justin Bunka. He co-wrote the second episode “Listen Up,” and will continue to write more in upcoming seasons.
